Peter Thiele (b. 1938, Nuremberg)
Peter Thiele began his artistic journey at the Folkwangschule in Essen, where he studied from 1955 to 1966. He then went on to teach art at the Fachhochschule Gestaltung in Nuremberg from 1967 to 1978. In recognition of his artistic work, he was awarded the Förderpreis of the City of Nuremberg in 1977.
From 1979 to 2003, Thiele served as a professor of art at the Georg-Simon-Ohm-Hochschule in Nuremberg, shaping the next generation of artists.
Peter Thiele lives and works in Nuremberg.

Peter Thiele begann seine künstlerische Laufbahn an der Folkwangschule in Essen, wo er von 1955 bis 1966 studierte. Anschließend unterrichtete er von 1967 bis 1978 an der Fachhochschule Gestaltung in Nürnberg. Für seine künstlerische Arbeit wurde ihm 1977 der Förderpreis der Stadt Nürnberg verliehen.
Von 1979 bis 2003 war Thiele Professor für Kunst an der Georg-Simon-Ohm-Hochschule in Nürnberg und prägte so die nächste Künstlergeneration.
Peter Thiele lebt und arbeitet in Nürnberg.
